I don't understand why you think your father's arrest in 1940s
is an explanation of "something which is not an isolated incident" that
indicates "the fact" that "many Japanese" still "look upon Koreans as
something less than human." BTW, your description of your
father is too sketchy to make a comment on.

Would you please quote my posts even remotely resembling
"Koreans are racists while Japanese are angels"? If you cannot,
I demand you to retract your words.

Your "transident phenomenon" is something like this:
直江津駅リンチ殺人事件(1945年12月29日)
信越線黒井駅でヤミ米ブローカーの朝鮮人3名が列車の窓ガラスを割って乗り
込もうとしたところ、ある日本人乗客に拒まれて乗り込むことができず、デッ

Lynch muder at Naoetsu station. Dec 29 1945
When three Korean underground rice brokers were trying to break
into a train by clashing glass windows, due to the resistance from
a Japanese passenger, they could not get in and they were hanging
at the connection area between the cars until they arrived at Naoetsu
station. At Naoetsu station, the Koreans were blaming the Japanese
passenger, saying "We tried to clash the glass windows because
we could not get in through the door. Why did you do that?" to which
the Japanese replied "You are not supposed to get in from windows."
Infuriated by this, shouting "how dare you speak such a thing to Koreans!
Get off from the train! We will kill you!!" the Koreans dragged the
passenger to the platform, beat him to death with pipes and shovels.
I think you know that your "totem pole" theory did not work in
Korean Peninsula. The Japanese residents in Korean Peninsula
were stripped of their private properties, and sent back to Japan
using Japanese expenses. Some of them were handed to Russians by
Koreans, and sent to Siberia.
