No doubt.  I remember when I first moved my NES from our old 16" screen to 
our then-new 26" model with stereo speakers.  It was quite an experience- 
same game, but the graphics and sound just seemed so much cooler.

Not a necessity, though- that's why "Game Boy" has been in the videogame 
lexicon for nearly 18 years now.

Hell, I'm still known to play Pole Position II from Namco Museum on the PS2 
(which I guess is sort of like listening to Mozart play Chopsticks)
