Hi All,

I have what seems to be a trivial question, but have not been able to
find a definite answer and your help would be greatly appreciated.

SITUATION:
I am writing a driver for a PCI-ATA card. That is i am writing an AIM.

The ATA Manager is continuously sending the Read Sector command. It
seems it reads from almost all cylinder but still the OS doesnt loads.
We are able to see the logs only after switching to MacsBug.

Question:
1.) Why is the ATA Manager sending only read sector commands and not
any other commands?

2.) We are not receiving any DMA read command even after reporting the
ATA Manager about our hardware support for DMA?

3.) If the Hard Disk is not mounted, but is connected to our hardware,
can we read the data on specific sector, cylinder and head of the disk.
Will the data we retreive be correct?

thanks in advance,
with regards,
Satyam
