Hello again all of you nihontaizai no gaikoku no okata, et al.
I think its really erroneous, and in some cases perhaps insulting, depending
on the person, when Japanese people automatically assume that any western
looking gaikokujin is an American.
Most Japanese especially older ones still relate any caucasian to an
American since it was the post war occupation period when they first saw so
many foreigners walking around in Japan. How do you all
feel about this?
I am assuming it is similar to how I feel when in the rural US people assume
I am
"Chinese".
