I like the Rei/Gendo pairing. Despite what we see in hentai, the
relationship doen't nescessarily *have* to be an abusive one. 

The artists who draw Gendo taking advantage of Rei for his own twisted
pleasure have got his character totally wrong IMO - from what we see
in the series, Rei seems to be strongly attracted to Gendo (at least
at the beginning of the series), whilst he sees her as a tool; little
more than a means to an end.

Rei would probably respond favourably to his touch if he were to ever
show the slightest interest in her, sexually - there's no way he would
have to force her to do *anything*.
