This is a new computer with XP PRO, full loaded with memory (gigs) and fast
(2.4 GHz). Pentium 4.  When the computer is started, it gets to the logon
screen where you have to select the user... there is only one,
administrator.  More often than not, the computer freezes up on this
screen... unable to do anything, including the famous Ctrl-Alt-Delete.  Need
to push the off button on the computer to turn off.  After 2-3 cycle of
this, the computer eventually unfreezes.  The computer is connected to the
usual... a printer and a DSL connection, nothing else.  Any suggestions.
