My dentist did some pretty major work in my mouth a couple of years
back - the sounds of the drill were terrible but he never hurt me. And
he speaks a little english. Just my wife's families local dentist but
he's a good guy. Doesn't help you (I'm in Nagoya) but just proof that
not all Japanese dentists are bad.

Next week he's promised to teach me to brush my teeth :-/
