This site shows that Kerry was a spoiled rich kid badly in need of
discipline who was shown the door by his fellow officers, guys who now
seem determined to put his abbreviated Navy career in a negative
light. I wonder if they had done their duty as his superior officers,
disciplining and offering strong, consistent, positive leadership (I
assume they did not because they claim they gave him the idea to leave
for the three purple heart reason). Honestly I think his behavior
might be worse than Kerry's since they encouraged him to actively
leave the combat zone mainly because he seems to have simply disliked
Kerry personally; I didn't see anything mentioning an official record
that shows he reported Kerry's behavior to superiors (but my lunch
hour is short so I didn't have time to read all the stuff there; maybe
it's in the site someplace).
