I guess you won't read all about it in the daily paper, but according
to this:

they're shelling out over $300,000 per "guard" to guard the soldiers
building their camp in Iraq or something. Another 100 oku yen that
won't be going towards humanitarian aid. I'm sure they'll soon be
another demand for payment to ensure no-one shoots at the GSDF too
much once they start patrolling.

I hate to think what sort of coverage we'll get the first time a live
bullet goes flying anywhere near the GSDF...

Also, I apologise for not cross-posting and filling up our bit of
