Yes, I agree.

Not everyone is.  There are so many Chinese people and their
personalities are just as varied as any racial groups.  Some are very
bad tempered.  Some are very reasonable.  But I'm afraid the sample
you have seen from the Internet is a very bad example.

You have to know that usenet discussion is far from the mainstream for
any cases.  This is true for all discussion groups, not only
soc.culture.* ones.  Concluding the whole race by basing on a small
and bad sample is not quite fair.

It is very easy to turn oneself into hatred and bad tempered by
reading some of the threads here.  But it doesn't help much if spit
back venom.  It just makes the discussion groups contain more and more
angry threads.  And hatred just spread out like no tomorrow.  So why
become one of them?

But I still find some of the threads here entertaining, like Yu & Jim
Walsh and Bill Moore's discussion.  But threads started from anko
eater/FreddieN/Red cloud just seems too much for me.
