Foreclosures in Military Towns Surge at Four Times U.S. Rate
Tuesday, 27 May 2008 15:07

In the midst of the worst surge in mortgage defaults in seven decades,
foreclosures in U.S. towns where soldiers live are increasing at a pace
almost four times the national average, according to data compiled by
research firm RealtyTrac Inc. in Irvine, California.

Military families were targeted as customers during the boom in subprime
lending because their frequent moves, overseas stints, and low pay meant
they were more likely to have weak credit ratings, said Rudi Williams of
the National Veterans Foundation in Los Angeles. In 2006, at the peak of
U.S. subprime lending, the number of VA loans fell to barely a third the
level of two years earlier, according to VA data.

George W Bush has plans for air strike on Iran by August
Tuesday, 27 May 2008 14:50

Two key US senators briefed on the attack planned to go public with
their opposition to the move, according to the source, but their
projected New York Times op-ed piece has yet to appear.

The source, a retired US career diplomat and former assistant secretary
of state still active in the foreign affairs community, speaking
anonymously, said last week that that the US plans an air strike against
the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

Given their obligations to uphold the secrecy of classified information,
it is unlikely the senators would reveal the Bush administration's plan
or their knowledge of it. However, going public on the issue, even
without specifics, would likely create a public groundswell of criticism
that could induce the Bush administration reconsider its plan.

Bugliosi Wants Bush Charged with Murder
Tuesday, 27 May 2008 13:20

Former California prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi wants President Bush
charged with murder.

“George Bush has gotten away with murder – thousands of murders,”
Bugliosi says. “And no one is doing anything about it. The American
people can’t let him do this.”

Bugliosi argues that Bush misled the nation into a war that has killed
more than 4,000 Americans.

“We know that Bush was telling millions upon millions of unsuspecting
Americans exactly the opposite of what his own CIA was telling him,”
Bugliosi said. “We know that George Bush took this nation to war on a
lie. Who is going to pay for all of this? Someone has to pay. And the
person who has to pay obviously is directly responsible for all of the
death horror and suffering. And that person is George W. Bush.”

Provocations as Pretexts for Imperial War: From Pearl Harbor to 9/11
Tuesday, 27 May 2008 10:44

Since all US imperial wars are fought ‘overseas’ – far from any
immediate threats, attacks or invasions - -US imperial rulers have the
special task of making the ‘causus bellicus’ immediate, ‘dramatic’ and
self-righteously ‘defensive’.

To this end US Presidents have created circumstances, fabricated
incidents and acted in complicity with their enemies, to incite the
bellicose temperament of the masses in favor of war.

The pretext for wars are acts of provocation which set in motion a
series of counter-moves by the enemy, which are then used to justify an
imperial mass military mobilization leading to and legitimizing war.

Despite the massive, overwhelming documentation proving that elite
groups around the world have been planning the complete annihilation of
this constitutional republic for a more than a hundred years, Americans
continue to deny, deny, deny.

Today millions of Americans depend on mother government for their very
livelihood. The American people have been expertly boxed into a corner.
With the destruction of our most important job bases caused by Congress,
their financial well being now depends on continuing to support the very
programs destroying this country. When it comes to the U.S. Constitution
vs jobs, guess what loses?
