In his article Mr. Gerson asks: "If the atheists are right, what would 
be the effect on human morality?". However he does not explain how "a 
world without God" would be any different from the world we live in.

The reader is supposed to assume that a world without God is a world 
without religious belief.

This linkage of God and religious belief is perhaps the real, 
subliminal, message of the article. Very clever.
