Access application on Windows Server 2003 seems to "pause"
I have an Access application (VBA) running on a MS Windows Server 2003
(terminal server). This application is always running and performs some
background tasks like reading files and importing records into an Access
database.
This works fine, however sometimes it seems that the application is not
running anymore because no new records are inserted into the database. When
I log on to the server via remote desktop, the application is still active
and it then suddenly starts to read files and import records again.
So it seems the application is in some sort of "pause" state that is set to
continue as soon as I log on. The frequency of this problem occurs from 4
weeks to 1 hour. There are no server or application errors.
Does somebody have any clue what is going on here?
