I didn't read his page all that carefully or notice anything about 
same-sex marriage (or any marriage, for that matter) in his page.

All I saw was somebody posting a message saying "please take a look at 
my site" and then getting hit with a lot of hostile responses.

So I just said "why can't people be friendlier?"

I mean, the topic here isn't "let's abuse visitors", right? :)
