I have been looking to buy a new camera as I am upgrading from a Fuji 
1400Zoom and have been reading and reading lots of infromation on them all, 
must say I feel more confused than when I started. I have used Steve's 
digicam review site which has helped narrow the chioce a little.

I have looked at Nikon Coolpix 8700

Sony DSC F828 (bit on the big side)

Fuji Finepix S20 Pro

Fuji Fine pix S7000

Olympus C-8080 Wide zoom

Canon EOS 300D (like the idea I can change lenses etc)

I like what I read on all of them, I do keep hearing that the Sony suffers 
from noise how much I don't know.

I am looking for a camera that I can take to Goa in a few months and use in 
general, I enjoy taking photo's and carry a camera a lot of the time.

I will use it for landscapes, buildings, people indoors and outdoors day and 
night. Don't need to take video clips with it although I see most have that 
anyway. I will be looking to attach the camera to an Orion telescope on the 
odd occasion.

Will be looking to have the odd picture printed to a good size to hang in a 
frame (if I take one good enough that is)


Does anyone use or own any of the above camera's and have any advice on 
which to choose, or any pros/cons on any of the above ?
