I'm really really glad I'm not living in Simi Valley, California any more.
The Reagan Presidential Library is in that town. Tens of thousands of
people came to look at his casket which they displayed in the library.
Once the mourners reached Simi, it took 3-4 hours to exit the freeway...
then another 4 or so hours waiting in line to take a bus to wait in line
at the library to get shoved past the casket... much like they move you
quickly past the Crown Jewels in the London Tower.
Simi Valley is usually a nice quiet place, full of white conservatives, which
may be why the trial of the cops who beat Rodney King in LA was held here.
Luckily I'm living in a much saner place now.
