I believe you should sort yourself out work-wise before deciding upon renting or purchasing property. You need to collect some specifics regarding English schools in the city/town to which you are moving. Of the 60 students I managed to collect in my first month of business 8 years ago almost all of them we friends of my wife, or her cousin or children that my sister-in-law 'collected'. She has four children, all of whom I have taught, as well as dozens of their friends. This was the fundamental factor in determining the initial success of my school - word of mouth. You father-in-law's contacts will guarantee some work. Sounds like a perfect start to for a self-employed business. As for the qualifications - just don't mention them - really, seriously, no one will ever ask you so don't offer any superfluous information. Couple of questions - is your wife working and what were you doing in UKland work-wise? -- jonathan
