Hi all - I have a recording of a mystery LP and I'm trying desperately
to locate the source:

http://webpages.charter.net/ironybread/ft_df_08.mp3

The song is "Chugoku-Chiho no Komoriuta", a Japanese children's song,
and I happen to know that there are three other children's songs on
the source LP: "Toryanse", "Antagatadokosa", and "Tawara wa Gorogoro".

As far as I can make out, this is an easy-listening-variety LP
produced for the Japanese market in 1970 or before. (The MP3 comes
from a radio broadcast on KPFK-FM Los Angeles in November 1970.)

I live in Southern California, and I'll be damned if I can find any
used record stores that carry vintage J-pop LPs and 45s, stuff that
only ever had a commercial life in Japan - like The Drifters and
Jimmie Tokita and Keiichiro Akagi.

I'd love to make contact with anyone who has memories of J-pop of the
1960s, or who has a good collection of vintage J-pop, or just knows
how a guy stuck in Southern California could possibly shop for vintage
Japanese LPs.

Or, of course, I'd love it if anyone knew right off the bat what this
LP could be! Perhaps the Teichiku Recording Orchestra?

As an aside, can anyone direct me to a place on the web where
"Teichiku Recording Orchestra" is spelled out in Kanji? I don't have
the Japanese spelling and I'd like to be able to Google it.

Best,
Taylor
