Three, actually. The time sure did fly.

One of them has a definite Japan angle. It's with a litigation firm that
has a fairly long list of Japanese clients such as Nissan, Toyota,
Mitsubishi, Komatsu, et cetera. These mostly are products liability
defendants and the firm seemed pretty keen on my Japanese
language/culture experience. I had a callback interview there last
Friday and every partner/associate I met with was interested in the
Japan aspect. I think that's why I got the call in the first place. The
hiring partner is on vacation for another week, so I have to wait for
him to get back before I'll know if I got it. If I do, I'll be elated.
If not, I got an offer last week from another firm that would be a fine
place to work.

We found out about two weeks ago that we will have a son, due end of
November/early December. Our hospital has one of the 3D ultrasound
machines so we got to see his tallywhacker (he is hung) rendered in
three dimensions. We won't name him Kevin. We're planning on a Japanese
first name and an Anglo middle name. Right now, I've gunning for 賢司
and Keiko likes 海斗, but we still have a few months to figure that out.
She brought a few baby names from Japan when she returned from her last
trip. She's worried about Americans being able to pronounce Japanese
names but nowadays kids are named things like Mykenzie and Aubriana so
"Kenji" would be one of the more manageable names in the class.
