Well, that raises the whole issue of expatriate bloggers in japan. Now, I'm
a sucky writer and really don't have the time to spend writing dinky
articles on topics already covered by 1,001 other whiteboys suffering from
english withdrawal -- to wit:

But the lure is getting harder to resist. The years of isolation and
pantomime have fed the urge for some modern-day egotistical personal
expression and I find myself asking how to avoid getting trapped into this
new syndrome, or at least find a way for the habit to pay for itself.
