Around here, 110 yen is the norm, but out in the sugar-cane fields near my
house, there is a 100-yen one with a few priced at 80 yen.

Down on Ishigaki and Iriomote, the prices seem the same as on Okinawa
island, unless you are near a tourist resort, where the prices will be
Japanese. Even on Hatoma, the prices were 120 yen IIR.

One repercussion of Japan's distribution scheme is that Japanese consumer
electronics, which all must be shipped in from the mainland, are often
cheaper here (of course the selection is more restricted).
