=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Psalm 109:2, 4}=96> Destructive and deceitful lies are
told about me......I had pity and prayed for my enemies, but their words
were to me were harsh and cruel.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Sometimes we can feel suffocated by the evil in the
world around us. Constantly, we hear things that tear down the God of
the universe and His people, His will, and His ways. We take the charges
personally.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0In a culture increasingly hostle to the things of God,
it's easy to slide into an angry, fearful, harsh, and strident manner of
attack. And that will get us nowhere.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0The psalmist acknowledged that the wicked of the world
will always tear down what's good and right and godly init. His response
to them was different, however: He reached out in love. He prayed for
them. That's the way of the child of God in a world of evil.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0But nothing changed. The wicked remained his accusers.
Their words still hurt.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Keep at it. Keep praying. Keep trusting God. And God
will triumph in the end.
