And to that point, when there are real risks with new technology, we are
always hyper cautious at first so the odd of new AI technology taking over
and killing us without realizing it was going to happen is near zero.
Either we will keep them under our control, which means they won't be much
different than all the technology we already use as "slaves" to our
desires, or we voluntarily turn over control of the world to them in time
as humans die out.  In other words, we might choose to let them replace us,
but it's not likely we will loose control without it being our choice.
