Huh?  I didn't even know Sony was planning something so stupid and useless 
like this...

Why would you want your game console to be your network router?  That 
makes no sense.  If you're serious about having a home network, chances 
are, you already have a switch and router in a closet somewhere, with 
cables running through your attic or under your floors to each room.  

Gigabit?  Why?  Streaming of HD quality TV signals would be about the only 
application I can think of why you'd need something better than 100Mbps in 
your house.  Heck, the majority of users will be happy with 802.11b since 
that's still faster than the majority of broadband connections out there.  
And there's still plenty of bandwidth left over for printing, or light 
file sharing among home users.

I just don't know what Sony is thinking...
