One of the advantages Australian passport holders have over those of
Canada, NZ & the handful of new countries with WH agreements is the
option to renew twice - ie to extend the period of stay to 18 months.
Changing jobs at least once seems to be a prereq for obtaining the 3rd
6th month visa (ie 2nd extension)

Lump sum deposits are OK if satisfactorily explained. Quite a few
young WH makers do so wit parental support, or even through documented
personal loans, on the finance side - its easy enough to document.
Contact the consulate and they can provide the forms.
