I've climbed the bloody thing 7 times (once for myself, the other six because I was being paid to). Unfortunately climbing it again on the last weekend of July. As a climb the mountain really sucks, so I can't really recommend any of the tracks, though it is more interesting if you have the opportunity to descend by a different route to the one you climbed. There are mountain huts on all routes, but the huts on the route up from Fuji City's shingogoume are probably the better ones in terms of food and cost.
