'Iyashi-kei', Who is the Healer?
Recently I was told by my friend there're a tons of companies and
people who sell the live animals in internet, especially the one which
the regulation doesn't require you any licences to deal them.
Land hermit crabs, Opae-ula (Hawaiian endemic red shrimp) or other
fresh water shrimps, Dwarf Puffers, Betta or other nano fish; they are
the typical 'Iyashi-kei Pet', or 'healing pet' among Japanese people.
It's very funny. Even they call those animals so, those small lives are
apparently treated as an expendables. Some are sold in internet auction
sites and shipped to throughout the year.
This is the one of the site who is selling such animals. However, this
company says they now don't ship puffers because it's too cold in
winter time. (But they call their merchandise animals 'miscellaneous
goods'.)
