Took a photo (about 1994 or so) of a russian fishing trawler in Wakkanai harbour with at least 7 cars/4WDs on it. Two of the 4WDs were hanging over opposing sides of the vessel. Probably shipping them to Sakhalin, or maybe even Petropavlovsk. Had a whole range of 2nd hand whitegoods on the deck as well. Apparently there was even a market for 2nd hand toaster ovens.
