Perchance you meant to say *selling* pirated movies makes life on the
streets *bearable*. Which of course is silly to say about Japan since I
doubt many of the people selling pirated stuff actually live on the
streets.

But it still doesn't make it legal or right. They could just as easily
prostitute theirselves out in some other way.
