It's me. I managed to help the company turn into a design services firm
with an acquisition in mind, and it came to pass: Conexant bought
Paxonet. Conexant already has a VP of Marketing, and has no need for
another. My next job exploded, and I spent six months unemployed. My
wife had already spent 2 years unemployed. Law school was going well (I
was second in my class), but no fun at all. Paying tuition and mortgage
was just a slow race between bankruptcy and getting a degree in a
profession that I really didn't want to be in. Quit school, savaged a
retirement account, sold a house, emigrated, bought a hotel, and here I am.
