The USS Illustrious is a new Defiant Class simulation. The Defiant
Class,
known primarily for it's excellence in battle, has the mission of
patrolling
the Romulan Neutral Zone in this uncertain time of possible peace with
the
Romulans.
 
The year is 2388, Starfleet is falling back on it's old goals of
exploration and discovery. The USS Illustrious helps to further these
goals as
our mission is to help watch the Federation's back as it looks towards
diplomacy and exploration.

The Illustrious is no pleasure cruise. The Defiant Class isn't a ship
known for it's comfort. For the mission of Illustrious is an important
one
and it takes ones with stable minds and the willingness to live in
close
quarters for it's mission to be a success.
