He's still active.  Maybe they could make him a part of the old guard, 
passing down the torch, as it were.

I think he should bring wild animals that he can speak to empathically, 
into the fold.  It turns out that the Beastmaster's return to earth was 
extended indefinitely by an alien invasion.
