That's a powered USB connector. It will allow things like bus-powered
hard drives, which don't require an AC Adapter.

That's an unpowered one. The connectivity is the same, but it can't be
used to power devices. The powered ones are 6-pin; unpowered, 4-pin.

You bet; it is indeed a standard cable. A search for "Firewire Cable"
will yield a lot of hits. Here's one:
