If you could help me, I will repost it.

I only recently upgraded to Windows XP. As you may know, it handles Japanese
and many other languages very well if the user knows how to make the
appropriate settings. So I have an E/J language bar as many Japanese people
do. In e-mail my characters came out correctly when corresponding with
Japanese. (The encoding was was set to "Unicode.")

Perhaps if I had used shift-JIS or EUC the Usenet protocol would have passed
it without problem. I'm not sure. Any help from anyone reading is
appreciated. I am sure that until I understand the problem it will just come
out as ???? again.
